A Story of Craft, Connection, and Two Brothers With a Vision
When we first sat down to dream about Bearded Bevel, we had no idea how many layers of meaning would unfold along the way. What started as a simple idea — “Let’s build a website to share what we make” — quickly became something much bigger. It became a reflection of who we are, where we come from, and why we create.

Designing this site wasn’t just a technical process. It was an exercise in storytelling. Every section, every image, every handwritten signature was shaped with intention. We wanted visitors not only to see what we build, but to feel the connection behind it — the grounding energy of the craft, the materials, and the shared history that brought us here.
And at the heart of that story is the collaboration between two brothers.
Working on this site together reminded us of what sparked our journey in woodworking in the first place: curiosity, creativity, and a sense of purpose. We challenged each other, inspired each other, and (as brothers do) pushed each other to refine every detail. From the design choices to the brand voice to the handmade signatures, this site was crafted the same way we work in the shop — with patience, intention, and a vision for what it could become.
This blog marks the first of many stories we want to share. Stories about process. About inspiration. About the grain patterns that stop us in our tracks, or the moments where a piece feels like it’s speaking its own language. And of course, stories about what it’s like to build something meaningful side-by-side with family.
